July is Kairos Nurse Appreciation Month...Help us with our new Katering Menu...Beauty for Ashes...

Kairos Chicken Busbee

What's up guys,

I hope that your week is starting out beautifully! We have had a fun time this last week focusing in on appreciating all the Nurses in our area. For the month of July every Nurse that refers Kairos Kafe for an Order will be entered into a drawing. Three names will be chosen, and Kairos will deliver and set up Dinner for your family! Or for the family of your choice! If any of you know any Nurses please pass this information on! Kairos Kafe is also hosting a B.N.I. group that meets Thursday mornings from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. It is said that the average BNI Member's seat is worth approximately $30,000 in North Alabama. If you are looking for proven ways to successfully grow your business then I’m inviting you to come check it out. In the beginning I was a little weary of joining a group that meets once a week, but after a considerable amount of coaxing from my beautiful Wife I decided to sit in and see what I thought. I found myself challenged to learn more as I was fascinated by the idea of building relationships with other business leaders and helping to grow their businesses as they help me to grow mine. A light breakfast with coffee and juice is served. Shoot me an email if you have any questions or check out their website http://bnialabama.com/ and if you plan to come bring at least 30 business cards!

The past few months have seen a bit of changes around Kairos. I am so excited that we are ironing out all the details so I can get back to doing what I love most... creating Delicious Goodness! It has come to my attention that our Katering Menu needs a new update. Since we stopped doing Lunch in the Kafe everyday I’ve realized that some of my favorite things aren’t even on the menu, so we are planning to amp up the menu with weekly specials, a section for our melt-in-your-mouth burgers (especially my Pimento Cheeseburger), as well as a T.G.I.H. (Thank God, It’s Healthy) section, Fresh Fish, and one of my newest passions, Unique Tacos! I’ve also thought about adding a Greek and Italian Section, as well as one for Down-Home Southern Cooking that would make my Mee-Maw Smile! If you guys have any input on things you’d like to see on the new menu, or any suggestions on ways that we could better serve your needs just shoot me an e-mail. And as always, if you desire something that is not on the menu I will be happy to make any of your Kafe favorites for your next Katering Event. At Kairos we make every effort to ensure that your experience with us is a unique "special" one. I believe I have a unique culinary philosophy that is rooted in my love of Southern food learned from my beloved Granny, who always kept me in the kitchen alongside her. Combining my early years with my learning of Greek & Italian Cuisine led to the creation of Kairos... Southern Delicious Goodness with a Greek Influence! And remember the Kafe is available for your next meeting or event!

The last several months for me have awesome. Getting married has proven to be the greatest decision I’ve ever made besides the one I made when Jesus revealed Himself to me. After we returned from our Honeymoon I found myself waiting for the other shoe to drop... you know... when real life starts they say it gets harder. I am obviously no Veteran when it comes to marriage since we are only working on our third month, but I have found it to be the most fulfilling and fascinating adventure of my life. The other shoe never did drop either! It amazes me the things that we have faced together so far have only brought us closer together, and I am honored at the Gift that Jesus has given me in Haley Hobart Jones. This morning as I was leaving for work I came back in and said “Baby, If I had known that you were going to be my wife in 2013 then all those years that I tried to figure everything out could’ve been spent just pleasantly waiting on you and not worrying about it... You were definitely worth the wait!” Of course she loves to hear me talk like that, and agrees with me, but as I left she challenged me to trust in the Plan that Jesus has for everything in my life. I think I’m gonna take her advice. Last week as I was praying about some things I was frustrated about I believe Jesus reminded me of the same thing... I just have to relax and Trust that His Plan is a Good Plan! I hope you guys will join me! “For I Know the Plans I have for YOU, declares the Lord... Plans for Peace, and Not for Disaster... Plans to give you a Future and a Hope!” Jeremiah 29:11

God Bless You as you seek to follow His plan. Thank You for Supporting Kairos! And have a wonderful week!

James K Jones
