Pumpkin Soup...Hamburger Taco Goodness...Guarding Against Bitterness

Kairos Beef Stroganoff

What's up guys,

Just a reminder that Kairos Kafe will be closed Monday November 13th in honor of Veteran’s Day. We will see you bright and early Tuesday morning at 10:30. It has been a great week at Kairos. We are having fun with the new lunch buffet but we need your help in giving it a name. In Gardendale we called it Kairos Kountry Buffet, mostly good down home meats and veggies, but now that we are offering it in Birmingham I want to broaden it out a little bit. I thought it would be fun to have different days, like Taco Tuesday, Or Greek Wednesday, and Kountry Thursday, etc. Whoever comes up with the winning name will receive the honor of it being named after you and a fifteen-dollar gift certificate. Will you help me out? I would love it if the name could start with a “K” of course but that’s not mandatory. I’d like the name to reflect what it is... The Best Lunch in Birmingham...Made From Scratch...Fast...Quick and easy if you need to eat in and super fast and easy if you need it to go! And also hip and trendy. I look forward to your ideas!

The Coupon this week is for a Free Dessert. Check in on your Facebook Page, Like us, or mention us is all we ask in return. If you don’t have a Facebook, then that’s okay too! Just print it out and bring it in. We don’t want to make the Coupons hard. We are just trying to get a little help with marketing. Please forgive us if this has become confusing.

The Hamburger Taco was a hit this week. It’s on the Specials menu again, and if you haven’t tried it I encourage you to sample this bit of delicious goodness. The “Comeback Sauce” is really what puts it over the top! The Pimento Cheeseburger continues to tantalize taste buds, and the Kairos Chicken Celebration is a winner! I’m also making Pumpkin Soup this week for those of you who love it. It sure does hit the spot on a cold day. I hope to see you this week in the Kafe, or delivering Kairos Delicious Goodness to your door!

It seems like the last few weeks have been full of disappointments for a lot of us... The Candidate for President you wanted to win didn't win... So what... Jesus is still President of Presidents... And He is in control no matter who is or who isn’t President... Our football team lost... So what. In the end it is just a game... Kairos in Gardendale failed and had to close... All things work together and become a part of Gods Ultimate Plan. When disappointments come back to back for me it is an easy time to go past all that and become bitter. I've been down that path before and it's an ugly path. And if I just let it go and wallow in it then it just gradually gets worse and ends up affecting every area of my life. I can't let that ever happen again. Today if you are disappointed that's OK. Make a decision to get "Re-appointed" and keep on rocking and rolling, trusting Jesus and enjoying life!! Don't allow bitterness to get its hooks in you. When it does, it sure does seem to take a long time to get its hooks out of you, so why not stop it at it’s onset? Before it even happens?? Life is too short not to enjoy each and every day to it’s fullest!

God Bless each of you! Thank You for Supporting Kairos! Have a Wonderful Week!

James K Jones

"Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many."(Hebrews 12:15 NLT)
