Sticky Bunz...Fresh Salsa...Amazing Grace...

Southern Fried Tilapia with Lemon Butter Sauce & Capers

What's Up Guys,

It has been a pretty neat week around the Kairos Kafe’s ! We are very proud of the bakery and all the baked goods that you guys are devouring. I tried a new recipe for Sticky Buns, and I just can’t seem to make enough of them! I have doubled the recipe and now I am tripling it! I am also attempting a recipe this week for Orange Buns... I can’t wait to see how that one is gonna turn out. I have had a hard time this year since I lost my Granny. It has been tougher than I ever imagined, but somehow when I am in the kitchen coming up with new recipes I can feel her right there beside me, cheering me on. She loved to cook, and especially loved coming up with new things, and I am so grateful that she instilled that same passion in me.

The Pork Quesadilla is on Special again this week. I cannot believe the responses that we are getting, but to be honest, I had it for lunch five times last week so it really is good! I think the Fresh Salsa that we make really makes the deliciousness of the tender roasted pork go to new flavor levels... Mmmm... It’s Good. The Salsa is also available as an appetizer with our made from scratch tortilla chips. The Fish is Greek Style Baked Tilapia, always a winner. I tell you that when you pull one of these bad boys out of the oven the smell will make you giddy with happiness! There is just something about Fresh Baked Tilapia with the vinaigrette and the feta that takes your tastebuds to a whole new dimension. We have also don an upgrade on the Kid’s Menu. We have a lot more kids at the new location, and I have heard a lot of compliments from the little ones. Tiana’s Grilled Cheese Quesadilla, Kenzie’s Mac n Cheese, Bailey’s Spaghetti with Tomato Sauce, & Zachary’s Chicken Fingers (Grilled or Fried) served with fries or a fresh fruit cup...

We have also updated our hours a bit to keep up with the demand. I have them posted below.

Life sometimes seems to be filled with challenges and obstacles. I have a mindset that says “Okay, let’s get through this one and we can rest...” I’m not sure where I came up with that but it seems that Jesus has challenged my way of thinking in that area this week...

I wonder why I think that way? I think it’s natural not want to be going through anything... I don’t want trials and all that stuff that the Bible clearly talks about... but somehow, when I am on the other side of a problem, or a struggle, or a trial, I can look back and see how Jesus used all of that stuff to draw me closer to Him and to make me more like Him. I guess that’s why the scriptures tell us to “count it all Joy” when we go through stuff. I have to tell you though that it is easier said than done.

The best lesson I have learned is to back up, be still, be quiet, and listen to what Jesus has to say, and allow His Peace to Flood me. He hat never let me down. 100 times out of 100, so I wonder why I get so anxious and wrought up inside. He will either handle the problem Himself or show me how to handle it. Amazing Grace. Jesus teach me to follow you and trust you 100 times out of 100!

God Bless You Guys. You make Kairos a wonderful place! Thank You so much for supporting us! Have a great week!

James K Jones
