What’s up Kairos Fans,
The time for Valentine’s is here! I am so stoked about our Valentine’s Menu and the opportunity to have you join us for a “special” evening at Kairos Kafe. We are pulling out all the stops in hopes of making this a Valentine’s Dinner that you and your significant other will thoroughly enjoy!
I love the way the times of the year and the seasons give me a chance to do something different in the kitchen. Valentine’s is that one day of the year when I really try to forget about budgets and food costs, and just make the menu a really sexy one! I believe this one will not disappoint!
We have decided on a five course meal that is sure to please. For starters I have chosen a Fresh Salsa or Spinach Dip with house-made tortilla chips... I actually came up with the chips one day just messing around in the kitchen, and they are delicious. We use flour tortillas and they seem to be softer than others I have tasted and yet they still have a nice crunch. The Salsa is a delicious blend of several tomato varieties, jalapenos, red onions, fresh lime, cilantro, and a few other things...
The Spinach Dip had been my favorite recipe for years, and just this week I made it on Fox 6 and I didn’t have a chance to refrigerate it before the TV Crew came and demolished it while it was still hot. They were raving about it and as I was walking out I tasted some and it really surprised me because it was 10 times better warm than it was cold, so through that revelation I’m now serving it warm! If you enjoy it even half as much as they did then I am in good shape.
The Soups are Kairos Cream of Potato or Three Cheese Tortellini Soup, and the Salads are Mixed Green Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette or Broccoli Salad.
The Entrées to choose from are Steak, Seafood, or Chicken. The Steak is a beautiful hand cut Filet Mignon grilled to perfection and then smothered in Marsala Wine Sauce with Sautéed Mushrooms. This is one of my top favorite meals and it is served with a succulent twice baked potato that pairs nicely with the Sauce and the Steak...its making my mouth water just thinking about it...
The Fish is Kairos Sweetheart Salmon, a flavorful hand cut piece of Fresh Atlantic Salmon marinated in delicious goodness, grilled to perfection, and then glazed in my much loved Strawberry-Honey Glaze. It is served with fresh Green Beans, and has always received enthusiastic reviews.
The Chicken dish is Chicken Florentine, perhaps one of my most loved dishes that starts with sautéed chicken tenderloins smothered in the most savory delicious cream sauce that I have experienced, and then topped with fresh Spinach, Mozzarella, and Parmesan Cheese...after we bake it in the oven to give the cheese a nice crispy texture, it is one of the most beautiful dishes I’ve ever seen. I love our Chicken Florentine! When I see it on the plate it always takes my breath away! I’m serving it with Fettuccine Alfredo.
The Desserts are sure to please as well...Kairos Famous Strawberry Kobbler topped with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream or Decadent Chocolate-Chocolate Cake served with a freshly prepared Raspberry Sauce. You really can’t go wrong with either one of these!
In addition you will have an endless supply of Granny’s Rolls with Spunky Hollow Cream and a neat little drink that I came up with (non-alcoholic) that I’m calling Passion Fruit Punch.
All in all I think it’s going to be an awesome evening. Don’t miss it, and if you are single and don’t want to go out, Please don’t let that stop you! Gather up a group of friends, head on down to Kairos and I’ll be single with you! We’ll have an awesome time!
