What's up Kairos Fans,
It has been a fantastic week here at Kairos. I was so happy this morning to wake up to the sound of some much needed rain! On Sunday Kairos will participate in the "Hot Strings Bluegrass Festival" at Sloss Furnace. If you haven't made plans to attend, click on the link below, and I hope to see you there! All the proceeds will go to benefit The Foundry Rescue Mission and Recovery Center.
The Pork Chop Sandwich sure did go over well this week. Actually it went so well that I am running it on Special again. I have gotten lots of comments about it but I think that the secret of it's delicious goodness is not only in the Pork Chop, but in the Slaw. It is a pretty awesome recipe... I like to eat it all by itself, and it does wonders for the sandwich!
I love some of the original sandwiches that we have come up with here. Another winner that's on the menu is The Ribeye Hurley Sandwich. I think about this sandwich often when I am hungry and away from Kairos. It has a juicy piece of ribeye steak that's seasoned just right and grilled to perfection. We put it on a toasted bun and top it with a Fried Green Tomato and an Onion Ring. And the sauce that we serve on the side is just the way to finish it off!
I love Ribeye's. They are my favorite steak to have on a sandwich. Most people say that the tenderloin is the best, but I think that a ribeye has more flavor because of that little layer of fat that runs around it...mmm...good stuff.
Well, they say that all good things must come to an end. Many of you know and have welcomed Dorothy as one of our Servers over the past several months. She came to Kairos when Mary had to leave to take care of her Mother. We have all enjoyed having Dorothy here but her last day was friday and we will all miss her. It has been great to have her on board and even to learn a few things from her! We know she will always be one of our biggest fans, though, so that makes it easier. Her husband Eric recently told me that on one of their first dates she talked to him about Kairos. Now that is loyalty!
It is great to have Mary back with us, and I hope you will welcome our new Hostess Corinna. She is already an asset to the Kairos team and loves the customers and the food so that combination sounds like a winner!
Take advantage of the Coupon this week and come try a cupcake. I made so many cupcakes yesterday that I feel as if I have been in an Iron Chef Cupcake Battle! The results were awesome, though, so I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks so much for supporting Kairos! God Bless You and have a wonderful week!
James K Jones
