Vacation...all I ever wanted...

What's Up Kairos Fans,

Just a heads up for you: Kairos Kafe will be closed the week of the Fourth of July so that the Staff and I can all have a Summer Vacation. The dates are Saturday July the 3rd through Sunday July 11th. We will reopen on Monday July 12th at 10:30 a.m.

With Fourth of July on Sunday this year I was in a bit of a conflict over which week to close... the week leading up to Independence Day or the week after... We decided on the week after. I hope that is okay with you guys.
The Coupon this week is a free lunch with the purchase of a Lunch, so if you're in town this week be sure to take advantage of that opportunity and bring a friend to Kairos this week. It's on us!

I've come up with a recipe for a refreshing spinach and tomato salad and on these hot days I know it will hit the spot...the Soup is one of my all time favorite recipes: Black Bean Soup with a little bit of spicy heat... the Fisk is pan seared Atlantic Salmon with a Honeymustard Glaze, and the TGIH (Thank God It's Healthy) Special is a mixed green salad toppeded with pan seared Salmon. It is definitely a savory delight!

I'm not sure where most of my staff are headed this year, but Branden and I are going to the beautiful Emerald Coast in San Destin, Florida. I know alot of people are avoiding the beaches because of the oil disaster, but I can't wait to get down there and do absolutely nothing all week except swim...I plan on coming back tan, rested, and ready to finish out 2010!

I won't be swimming in the ocean though! I've gotten reports from friends that it's okay to go in the water because they keep the tar balls cleaned up... but just the other day a friend said the Dolphins and the Sharks are swimming closer in because of the oil leak... well, that's enough for me because I know that if I am in the water the sharks will say "Lets go eat him, he's chubby!" :OP
If you are already on Vacation I hope you are having a great one. If you aren't on Vacation yet I hope to see you in Kairos next week...

Either way, thank you for supporting Kairos, God Bless You, and have a wonderful week!!

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Franklin D. Roosevelt

“When you are afraid, do the thing you are afraid of and soon you will lose your fear of it.” Norman Vincent Peale

At every turn, when we step out to do something new, fear is right there to tell us that we can’t do it. We disobey God because of Fear, we never reach our potential because of Fear, we mistreat others because of Fear, we back out of things because of Fear, and we lose the right to be who we are because of Fear.

If Fear, our enemy, is always gonna be there, then what are we supposed to do? The only thing we have to do is go ahead and do it anyways!

“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.” Dale Carnegie
