What’s Up Guys,
Merry Christmas to all of you! As I sit here thinking about what to write, it amazes me that another year has passed by so quickly and the Christmas Season is upon us! I for one am ready to kick back with family and friends and celebrate the greatest gift of all, the gift that God gave to us when He sent His Son to the Earth! That’s something to be excited about!
This has been an incredible year, one filled with a lot of hard work, but also with the joy of fulfillment. It is amazing to me to look at how far God has brought us, and I look forward to the future with excitement, knowing that this is only the beginning. I remember writing the vision for Kairos among other visions, and I’ll never forget the words that God spoke to me... “When you write James, dream BIG! My dreams for you are Huge!” It always humbles me to know that God himself has dreams for me to accomplish. Kinda blows my mind.
This week I had the opportunity to participate in a Christmas Dinner for 250 inmates at Donaldson Correctional Facility. Our item to bring was Green Bean Kasserole, and after they ate I had the opportunity to speak with those men and share Jeremiah 29:11 with them... that God has an awesome plan for their lives if they would just cooperate with Him. I found that it was really easy for them to listen after they found out that I used to live there! It was definitely a moment where we were building relationships around food!
Speaking of Food, don’t forget to have your orders in by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday for pickup on Wednesday. We will be here until 8:00 on Wednesday for pickup. Everything that I have chosen for the Christmas Menu can be popped into the oven for 45 minutes and then you are ready to go!
I am very thankful for each one of you, and my prayer for you is this: That you would recognize and accept the gift of Jesus the Messiah, that your Christmas Season is filled with Peace that passes understanding, Joy unspeakable, and many moments that take your breath away!
God Bless You and Your Families, and have a Merry Christmas!
Kairos Kafe will be closed Thursday December 24th through January 3rd 2010. We will reopen Monday January 4th, 2010 at 6:00 a.m.
